AC Milan have reportedly rejected a €100 million bid from Juventus for defender Marco Di Vaio, which would see them lose their prized asset.
The Bianconeri, who have been chasing Verrati for several weeks, were also reportedly looking for a £40 million fee to take the defender on loan.
However, Juventus have rejected the move and are still in the market for another defender, with Verrattas position under threat as the Biancones look to strengthen.
With AC Milan refusing to sell the defender, reports in Italy have suggested that Juventus are prepared to pay a €140 million fee for the 27-year-old, according to Il Messaggero.
The club have reportedly also shown interest in signing Napoli right-back Dani Carvajal, who is valued at €70 million.
