ESPN is removing all access control related content from the feeds for its Twitter users.
The company made the decision after receiving a complaint from an anonymous user who claimed that the content violated ESPN’s social sharing policies.
The user claimed that his account was blocked from viewing tweets by ESPN, which had previously stated that the tweets could be viewed by anyone who has an ESPN account.
ESPN did not respond to a request for comment.
The company did not disclose the specific reason behind the change in the tweet, but did say that it “was based on the response we’ve received from our fans, advertisers, and others.”
Twitter also said that it had begun to review its policies.
